Definition: Greenhouse Gases
Greenhouse Gases - "carbon dioxide (from
coal, oil, natural gas, and deforestation),
methane, nitrous oxide, water vapor,
and chlorofluorocarbons injected into the
atmosphere. These gases, the concentration
of which is increased through vehicle
and factory energy use and other human
activity, change temperature, climate, and
ocean circulation, and thus affect economic
activity." - source: Economic Development 4th Edition by E. Wayne Nafziger
